Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit their manuscripts to Sharia, Philosophy and Ethics are required to follow the instructions below carefully. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to authors for revision before entering the peer-review process.

1. Language of Submission

  • The full text of the article must be written in Persian (Farsi).

  • The manuscript must include both a Persian abstract and an English abstract, each ranging between 150–250 words.

  • An Extended Abstract in English (ranging between 1000–1500 words) is mandatory and must appear at the end of the article before the reference list.

  • The title, author information, and keywords must be provided in both Persian and English.


2. Structure of the Manuscript

Each submitted article must include the following components in the following order:

  1. Title (in Persian and English)

  2. Author(s)’ Full Name(s), affiliations (department, university, city, country), and email addresses (in Persian and English)

  3. Persian Abstract (150–250 words)

  4. Persian Keywords (3–6 keywords)

  5. English Abstract (150–250 words, accurate translation of the Persian abstract)

  6. English Keywords (3–6 keywords)

  7. Main Text (in Persian) organized under clearly defined sections such as:

    • Introduction

    • Theoretical/Conceptual Framework

    • Methodology (if applicable)

    • Findings / Argumentation / Analysis

    • Discussion

    • Conclusion

  8. Extended Abstract (in English) between 1000–1500 words, including the following labeled sections:

    • Introduction

    • Methods and Materials (if applicable)

    • Findings / Argumentation

    • Discussion and Conclusion

  9. References (using APA style, in the original language of the source)


3. Formatting Requirements

  • Persian text: Use B Lotus font, size 13 pt, line spacing 1.5.

  • English text (including abstracts and references): Use Times New Roman, size 12 pt, line spacing 1.5.

  • Manuscript margins: Top: 3 cm, Bottom: 3 cm, Left: 2.5 cm, Right: 2.5 cm.

  • Page size: A4.

  • Paragraphs should be right-aligned (for Persian) and justified (for English).

  • Do not use bold or underline in the body text unless necessary for emphasis or subheadings.


4. Referencing and Citation Style

  • All citations and references must follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style (7th edition).

  • In-text citations must be inserted within curly brackets in Persian, e.g., {Author, Year #ID}.

  • For example: {Smith, 2020 #123456}.

  • All sources listed in the references must be cited in the text and vice versa.

  • Sources should be listed at the end of the article in alphabetical order by the first author’s surname, and formatted according to APA rules.


5. Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system [insert submission URL] or emailed to the editorial office at [insert email address].

  • Submitted files must be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

  • Authors must include a cover letter that declares:

    • The originality of the manuscript

    • That the work has not been submitted elsewhere

    • Any conflict of interest

    • The contribution of each author

  • All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software (iThenticate).

  • The corresponding author is responsible for all communication with the journal.


6. Authorship and Contributions

  • Only individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the manuscript should be listed as authors.

  • Changes in authorship after submission (addition, removal, or rearrangement) require written approval from all co-authors.

  • All listed authors must approve the final submitted version of the article.


7. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors are expected to adhere to publication ethics as outlined in the journal’s Publication Ethics section.

  • Submissions involving human participants (e.g., interviews or surveys) must include a statement on ethical approval and informed consent.

  • All allegations of research misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication) will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.


8. Peer Review Process

  • All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer review.

  • Each manuscript is reviewed by two or three anonymous experts.

  • The average time from submission to first decision is 4–6 weeks.

  • Revisions must be resubmitted within the specified deadline with a response letter detailing how each reviewer’s comment has been addressed.


9. Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • For accepted articles, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 1,500,000 Iranian Tomans is payable.

  • There is no fee for submission.

  • Fee waivers may be considered in exceptional cases, especially for students or scholars from disadvantaged backgrounds.


10. Final Submission and Proofreading

  • Upon acceptance, authors are required to submit the final, proofread version of their manuscript.

  • The journal reserves the right to make minor editorial changes for clarity and consistency.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
