Abstract

This study aims to identify the components of moral rationality in the philosophical and theological thought of Al-Farabi. Using qualitative thematic analysis, core texts such as Al-Madina al-Fadila and Tahsil al-Sa‘ada were examined. The findings reveal four central dimensions: “Harmony between Theoretical and Practical Reason,” “Teleological Ethics,” “Justice as Social Rationality,” and “The Guiding Role of Reason in Cultivating Virtues.” These dimensions highlight Al-Farabi's potential contribution to contemporary discussions on Islamic rational moral philosophy.
