Abstract

This study aims to identify ethical upbringing strategies in Islamic families. Using a qualitative multiple case study approach, in-depth interviews were conducted with religious parents from Qom, Mashhad, Isfahan, Shiraz, and Tehran. Data were analyzed through thematic analysis. The findings revealed five primary strategies: “Parental Ethical Role Modeling,” “Internalization of Qur’anic Values,” “Use of Religious Stories,” “Promotion of Ethical Dialogues,” and “Value-Based Monitoring of Digital Media.” These findings can inform the design of culturally grounded moral education programs.
